Cargo transportation rises 2.4% in Azerbaijan section of TRACECA

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. 25.6 million tons of cargo and 142.2 million people were carried through Azerbaijan part of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) during January-September, up 2.4% and 6.4% respectively on the same period last year.
Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that 55.3% of shipments were transported by rail, 31.2% by road and 13.5% by sea.
Shipments via the corridor accounted for 26.5% of the total transportation in the country. AZN 195 million was earned in transportation, up 12.5% on a year ago.
