Azerbaijan to solve external radio-wave interference by this yearend

Baku. Ilham Isabalayeva - APA-Economics. In order to improve the quality and reception of radio and television broadcasts in the country, Azerbaijan has started to buy modern transmitting equipment through $5 million allocated from the Presidential Reserve Fund.
Ali Abbasov, Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, said interference of Armenian TV broadcasters in Azerbaijan’s air space is at the zero level at present.
“We sometimes see interference of Iranian broadcasters. This will also be solved,” he added.
The Minister also noted that the problem of interference in border areas that disrupts radio-wave reception will be completely resolved by the end of 2008.
