$135 million invested in ICT sector in Azerbaijan

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva - APA-Economics. Units and businesses under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, made AZN 25 million in investment during January-September.
The ministry said the AZN 108.8 million (about $135 million) in total was invested in postal and telecommunications sector during this period.
This figure represents 1.7% of the total investment in the economy of Azerbaijan.
The units and businesses under the ministry earned AZN 159.1 million against the forecast of AZN 141.4 million, up 17.4% as compared to the same period last year.
They paid AZN 21.3 million in tax to the state budget manat, and AZN 8.4 million to the State Social Security Fund.
