Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Hyundai in 2010 will replace the old with the new Hyundai Sonata i40. This Sonata i40 make a big step forward in design, drawing on the concept HED-2 Genus of 2006. Billed as a competitor to the new Vauxhall Insignia and Ford Mondeo, the Hyundai i40 will initially be launched in estate form, with a saloon version following in 2011.The i40 is believed to be based on an all-new platform which will underpin other future Hyundais and Kias, with the newly unveiled 181bhp 2.0-litre common-rail diesel engine being the most popular powerplant.
Other power plants will include modified versions of the i30â€™s current 1.6-litre diesel and petrol units, as well as a 2.0-litre petrol engine.
