Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva – APA-Economics. AZERFON LLC (Nar MobileTM) announced the installation of the next base stations.
On 30th of October, 2008 the company made a statement on putting into operation of 21 new base stations countrywide.
The new stations installed in September started to operate on the territory of Absheron peninsular (2), Baku (11), Devechi (3), Gedebey (1), Khachmaz (2), Shemakhi (1) and Salyan (1) regions.
Active development of the network of Nar Mobile in the republic confirms not only growing quantity indexes of base stations and covered areas, but also statistics of the number of subscribers growing day by day. At the present the operator provides 80 percent of country’s territory with qualitative and affordable mobile communication services.
Owing to its remarkable growth Nar Mobile has become the most dynamically developing operator in Azerbaijan.
AZERFON was licensed № 001512 by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Republic in December, 2005 to provide mobile services throughout the territory of Azerbaijan. AZERFON Company launched its commercial activities in 21st of March, 2007 under brand name Nar Mobile. The trademark Nar was created as a symbol of the relationship between Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage and modern life. At the present, more than 650.000 subscribers use the network of Nar Mobile.
