Baku resident Tahir Talibov, 45, was found dead in the house he rented in Sabail district, at about 12:00 on March 14. There were signs of violence on the body, Baku City Prosecutor’s Office told APA.
Upon the information received by the District Prosecutor's Office, the police examined the scene and the body in the presence of the forensic experts, seized material evidences and carried out other necessary procedures.
The District Prosecutor's Office launched a criminal case on the fact under the Article #120.1 (deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code.
As a result of the search operations carried out by the police, Mahabbat Jahangirov, 29, who is suspected of committing the crime, was detained on March 31.
The investigation revealed that Talibov was stabbed to death by his acquaintance Jahangirov on March 14 because of dispute.
Investigation is underway.
