The JSC told APA that CLC Chairman, Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov made a speech at the meeting.
It was stressed that President Ilham Aliyev attaches great attention and care to the activities of the CLC and JSC, and underlined deep gratitude to him for awarding the persons who distinguished themselves in the work of the Council and Committee the honorary titles and highest state awards. It was said that that creates a sense of great responsibility, encourages working selflessly for the development of an independent judiciary.
In the second part of the meeting, the JSC considered the organizational issues, and Chairman of Baku Court of Appeal Imam Naghiyev was elected chairman of the JSC. The meeting participants also discussed the issues of election of judges.
