Azerbaijani General Prosecutorâ€™s Office releases information on corruption fact

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. An employee of housing and utilities administration was caught red-handed during bribe taking in Baku. APA reports quoting the website of the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office that Department on Combating Corruption under Prosecutor General researched the appeal of Baku City resident on demand of bribe by engineer of housing maintenance and utilities departmentâ€™s housing and utilities administration â„–18 Guliyev Samad Dadash for filing the documents for privatizastion of his own house.

It was determined that Guliyev demanded from Baku city resident AZN 1000 for giving the home plan and form â„–2 for presenting them to the State Service of Real Estate Register under the State Committee on Property Issues. Guliyev was caught red-handed during taking a bribe in amount of AZN 500 from the citizen in his service room as a result of measures taken on June 21.

The criminal case has been launched on Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„–311.1 (bribe taking). Guliyev was sent to pretrial detention.

The investigation is underway.
