Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh - APA. During 2011, 73 prisoners were extradited to their countries, 3 defendants hiding in foreign countries were extradited to Azerbaijan, says the report of the Azerbaijani Government, APA reports.
The report also notes that during 2011, the Chief Medical Office of Ministry of Justice held a comprehensive medical examination of 20 161 prisoners, as well as 606 soldiers.
According to the report, the number of deaths from tuberculosis in the penitentiaries reduced by 38 times within 15 years. 3400 prisoners in correctional facilities were involved in social work. AZN 508 000 was paid to those suffered from the actions of the prisoners.
