940 foreigners deported from Azerbaijan last month

The SMS told APA that the applications were sent for extending the term of the sojournment, determining of the refugee status, getting permissions for temporary and permanent residence, getting individual permissions for labor activity and extending the term of the individual permissions.

Each of the appeals was investigated in accordance with the legislation and relevant decisions were passed.

The employees of the State Migration Service also took measures to prevent the illegal migration, violation of the rules for sojournment and permanent residence in Azerbaijan. It was found out that 1164 foreigners violated the requirements of the administrative legislation, 224 of them paid fines and their residence was legalized, decisions were passed about 798 foreigners in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences. According to the decisions, they were to leave the country within 48 hours, 142 foreigners were to leave the country in an administrative order.
