Ombudsman receives head of OSCE Office in Azerbaijan

Baku - APA. The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova (Ombudsman) received head of the OSCE Baku Office Ali Bilge Cankorel at his request.

Press service of the Ombudsman told APA that at the meeting was discussed perspectives of future cooperation.

Bilge Cankorel appraised Ombudsmanâ€™s activity in the field of human rights and National Group of Preventive Mechanism (NPM). He also said that is interested in cooperation and he gave some questions related to issues that is interesting for him.

Commissioner emphasized that was created NPM group after defining as a NPM and collaborators of Ombudsmanâ€™s regional centers included to that group.

Ombudsman also noted that this year is full of memorable events from human rights point of view.
Ombudsman also offered to organize joint events at the regional centers of Ombudsman and as a result at NPM apparatus, and to invite governmental structures, NGO, Civil society representatives to this event.
