Azerbaijani court passes decision on extradition of Turkish citizen â€“ member of â€œForest brothersâ€ group to his country

Decision was passed at the trial on extradition of Ergin Ozdemir to Turkey.

Remind that, under the order of the Court of Grave Crimes Ergin Ozdemir was sentenced to 3 years in jail.

According to indictment, the above-mentioned persons criminally conspired with Ilgar â€œAbdulmajeedâ€ Mollachiyev and his brother-in-law Samir â€œSuleymanâ€ Mehdiyev for organizing unrests in Azerbaijan and anti-government activity.The defendants are accused of committing explosion in Abu Bakr mosque and other crimes.They faced charges under Articles 214 (terrorism), 120 (premeditated murder), 279 (creation of armed formations or groups, which are not provided by the legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic), 228 (illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation and carrying of fire-arms, accessories to it, supplies, explosives) and other articles of the Criminal Code.
