Rescuers of Ministry of Emergency Situations return to Azerbaijan after participating in fire extinguishing operations in Israel - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

APA reports that high-ranking officials of the Ministry and Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Michael Lavon-Lotem participated in the welcome ceremony for the rescuers.

Chief of the Aviation Unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel Ashraf Gasimov said the Azerbaijani rescuers arrived in Haifa, Israel on December 5. Six flights were made in the fire-affected area within two days. Azerbaijani helicopters along with the Israeli rescuers made flights and determined the seat of fire.
â€œWhen we arrived, the heavy rain had extinguished the fire. We made additional exploratory flights,â€ he said.

Ashraf Gasimov said special certificates were presented to the Azerbaijani rescuers by Israeli President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Commander of the Air Defense Forces. Gasimov noted that it was the remotest visit of the Azerbaijani firefighters. Earlier, they had participated in extinguishing fire in Russia.

Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Michael Lavon-Lotem expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and Minister of Emergency Situations Kemaleddin Heydarov.
â€œI am grateful that Azerbaijan made a decision in a short time and sent rescuers,â€ he said.
