Residents in the Caspian coastal area left their home after feeling trembles. Some of the companies evacuated their staff members. Later the residents returned home and employees to the offices.

The 4.2-magnitude quake occurred in the Caspian Sea, 50 km north-east from Baku. The magnitude of trembles in the coastal area was 2.0-3.0. No casualties and devastation were reported.

It was the strongest earthquake in Baku after 6.2-magniutude quake in the city on November 25, 2000. No casualties were during that earthquake, but some of the buildings were damaged.
