Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. A book entitled “Top of National Heroes” was presented in Baku on Saturday. According to APA, member of the Azerbaijani parliament Nizami Jafarov spoke about the importance of the book and said it would enable us to know the heroes who gave their lives for the homeland.

Minister of Education Misir Mardanov positively appreciated the book which gives information about the people who wrote the chronicle of heroism of Azerbaijani people. Mardanov said Armenians could occupy the Azerbaijani lands through the help of outside forces. He said we have not to rely on others to end the occupation. “President Ilham Aliyev said many times that Azerbaijan had no inexhaustible patience. The people, who will constantly reread this book, will liberate the occupied lands”.

Chief consultant of the book, member of the parliament Ganira Pashayeva said with such books about the heroism of Azerbaijani people we were fulfilling our duties to the country and to the heroes who gave their lives for the country. The popularization of the history of heroism plays important role in the education of young generation.

The book was written by the chairman of the National Heroes International Information Center, editor-in-chief of National Heroes newspaper Mirbashir Seyidzadeh. He said he aimed to inform the young generation about the war’s bloody traces on Azerbaijani history and 210 national heroes of Azerbaijan who made exceptional contribution to the struggle of Azerbaijan for its independence.

The book contains maps of Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenians, history of the occupation, occupied residential areas, their geographical situation, economic characteristics, historic-cultural monuments, population of those territories.
