The Special Communication and Information Security State Service (SCISSS) continues its consistent and comprehensive efforts to protect state information resources from cyber threats, SCISSS told APA-Economics.
According to the information, as a result of monitoring and analysis conducted by the SCISSS during the period of January–July of the current year, 573 cyberattack indicators were identified. As a result of blocking these cyberattack indicators, specially targeted APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) cyberattacks prepared against government institutions were prevented. Out of the identified indicators, 206 were detected through the Service’s internal investigations, while 367 were discovered based on requests from government institutions.
Within the state email service operating under the constant supervision of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service (SCISSS), 7,455,124 emails were processed over the 7-month period of this year. Of these, 6,103,281 were deemed safe and delivered to users, while 1,351,843 were identified as containing malicious content and were blocked.
It was noted that the SCISSS ensures the uninterrupted and secure operation of government institutions in the digital environment by implementing continuous and preventive measures in the field of information security.
