A Yerevan court on Friday extended for another two months the pre-trial detention of business magnate and Prosperous Armenia Party Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan, who is charged with particularly large-scale fraud, money laundering and tax evasion, Armenpress reports.
Tsarukyan’s lawyer Emin Khachatryan told reporters outside the courthouse that they will appeal the ruling.
Tsarukyan has been in detention since July.
He denies wrongdoing.
