Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. “We’re concerned by the escalation seen over the last six months on the Line of Contact. Our message to Azerbaijan as well as Armenia is that the escalation should be stopped and the sides sit at a common table,” said Victoria Nuland, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, APA reports.
“We want you to support the process within the OSCE,” she stressed.
She added that Armenia must release the prisoners as a humanitarian gesture: “Tomorrow, I will say this in Armenia as well”.
Nuland also said they discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh problem during the meeting with the Azerbaijani president.
