On July 22, the next meeting of the Senior Officials Committee of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) was held in the administrative building of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Astana under the chairmanship of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports citing the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
It was noted that the activities carried out within the framework of the Azerbaijan Republic's Chairmanship of the CICA on the topic of "A Stronger CICA: Digitalization, Connectivity and Sustainable Development in Asia" to strengthen trust and expand cooperation between member states were discussed at the meeting of the committee.
The Chairmanship presented information on the developments on the agenda of the transformation of the CICA into an international organization, including progress in the negotiations on the relevant draft Charter, and an exchange of views was held on the positions of the member states.
