Minister of Science of Montenegro Sanja Vlahovic spoke about strengthening of the dialogue between multicultural communities in his country, work with the youth and activity of the Science Ministry. He said that common global problems and threats are inherent in all countries and they should fight against those problems together using the innovative methods.
Speaking about Azerbaijan’s approach to multiculturalism, Chairman of The European Azerbaijan Society Tale Heydarov underlined that historically, Azerbaijan had been the country, where different nations and religions coexisted peacefully. He reminded that Azerbaijan was the first Muslim country to grant suffrage for women even before some European countries. According to him, a number of Christian monuments have been preserved and protected since the period of Caucasian Albania: ‘We must respect the differences in cultural and mentality, but there are some global guidelines. Today, some states do not observe them. Azerbaijani territories are still under occupation and there are a large number of refugees and internally displaced persons in the country.
