Kobia said that there is huge potential for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU: “Azerbaijan is at the crossroads of all the different civilizations and economic models, social models, religious models. This makes whole situation of course very complex.”
Touching on visa facilitation, Kobia emphasized that it is very much people to people contact: “This is what we want to develop with Azerbaijan, is to bring our population closer with each other, to get to know each other better. Visa facilitation regime will allow all citizens to travel to the EU in the easier way than it is today.”
