The statement says this is an act of violence against the sovereignty of Azerbaijan and humanity. The Senate supports Jordanian state's permanent position calling to solve conflicts peacefully, strengthen peace and cooperation among nations and underlines that Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict must be solved basing on the principles of international law and within the inviolability of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The Senate mentions that the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) are urged to take necessary steps for recognition of Khojaly massacre as a genocide and crime against humanity on the national and international levels.
