Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzade - APA. On February 19, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov, who is on a visit to Georgia, met with country's President Giorgi Margvelashvili, APA’s Georgia bureau reports.
During the meeting, Margvelashvili said the projects passing through Georgia are of great importance for the country and Europe.
“I would like to express my joy on your arrival and ask to convey my greetings to my friend and brother Ilham Aliyev,” said Margvelashvili
E. Mammadyarov expressed his gratitude to the Georgian president and conveyed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s greetings to him. He mentioned that Azerbaijan and Georgia are fraternal countries.
“We believe that we can either develop or strengthen our sovereignty supporting each other. We see how Georgia supports Azerbaijan on the international arena. Azerbaijan supports Georgia on the international arena as well," he said.
Then the meeting continued behind closed doors.
