Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloghlu – APA. This is the first visit of Mevlut Cavusoglu as the Turkish Foreign Minister. The relations between the two countries are developing.
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on Wednesday made remarks at a joint press conference following the meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
E. Mammadyarov said during the meeting, the Turkish FM was informed about the current situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the recent visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to the region.
“Turkey, as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, supports the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,” Mammadyarov noted.
E. Mammadyarov said a trilateral meeting of the Iranian, Turkish and Azerbaijani FMs will soon be held in Tehran, adding that a trilateral meeting of the Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish FMs is scheduled to be held in Georgia.
E. Mammadyarov noted that TANAP, the joint project of Azerbaijan and Turkey, will be commissioned in 2018-2019.
