Azerbaijani President receives Belarusian Foreign Minister

Baku – APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makey, APA reports.

Makey said this visit was a good opportunity to discuss issues on the further enhancement of relations between the two countries. The Minister noted that his visit to Baku coincided with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and conveyed the best wishes and letter of congratulations of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to the President on this occasion.

President Ilham Aliyev noted bilateral relations between the countries were developing successfully in all spheres, including political, economic.

The Head of State emphasized the importance of high-level mutual visits in the strengthening of relations, expressed gratitude for Lukashenko’s letter and asked to convey his best wishes to the Belarusian Head of State.
