Baku – APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has congratulated President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena on his country’s national holiday.

APA quotes the letter as follows:

“Dear Mr. President, on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I would like to sincerely congratulate you and the people of your country on the national holiday – the Independence Day. I believe that the relations between Azerbaijan and Sri Lanka will continue to develop and contribute to the strengthening of our friendship and cooperation. I wish you good health and every success in your activities, and the friendly people of Sri Lanka permanent welfare and prosperity”.
