8th TEDxBaku Changing Frequencies Conference kicks off - <span style="color: red;">PHOTOSESSION

Baku. Shamil Alibeyli – APA. The opening of the 8th TEDxBaku Changing Frequencies Conference has been held at Jazz Center, APA reports. Prior to the event, US ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar expressed his views on the conference.

The ambassador said: “I think that the whole idea of the conference is wonderful because it allows a lot of young people many of whom have been exchange students in the US to get together, just to talk about ideas and exchange their thoughts. There is nothing political at all in this event, it is just an opportunity for people to get up and speak about whatever their passions may happen to be.”

Following this, a brief video on TEDx was demonstrated and the message of project curator Chris Anderson was read.

Speeches on various themes, including education, culture, literature, music and science were made at the event.

TED is a conference where each year, the world's leading thinkers and doers gather for an event many describe as the highlight of their year.
