“The successful continuation of the productive cooperation that began in Azerbaijan serves to further strengthen spiritual solidarity among the Turkic states,” Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Office Allahshukur Pashazade stated at the 7th Meeting of Muslim Religious Leaders of the Organization of Turkic States, APA reports.
“National Leader Heydar Aliyev, likening us to the branches of one tree, expressed the attachment of the Turkic peoples to common roots. As President Ilham Aliyev puts it, ‘The Turkic world is our family.’ Thanks to the wise and far-sighted policies of our heads of state, special respect and care are shown for our common religious and spiritual values. The mutual visits of the leaders of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), as well as the fraternal relations established between our states and peoples, are particularly commendable,” Allahshukur Pashazade noted.
He said that the peoples of the OTS member states have repeatedly demonstrated fraternal support for one another during difficult and challenging times.
“During the 44-day Patriotic War, we witnessed the comprehensive and resolute support provided to Azerbaijan by Türkiye. The fraternal OTS member states have also not withheld their support for our country in the process of the Great Return to Azerbaijan’s territories liberated from occupation and the implementation of large-scale restoration and reconstruction work in Karabakh. This solidarity and fraternal relationship are a clear example of the unity and mutual support of the Turkic world,” Allahshukur Pashazade emphasized.
