Explosions have been reported in southern Saudi Arabia, with threat warnings issued in the country’s southern and southwestern regions, APA reports.
On September 13, residents of Abha and areas around Khamis Mushait were warned of a possible attack.
The Saudi Civil Defense said the alerts had been sent through the national early warning system and were later lifted.
The incident comes amid renewed fighting between the Houthis and government forces in Yemen, as well as an increase in reported Houthi missile and drone attacks targeting Saudi territory.
The Houthis have claimed attacks on military and energy facilities in southern Saudi Arabia.
