Iran can easily withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), Iranian Parliament Presidium spokesman Abbas Goudarzi said, Iranian media reports.
Goudarzi said that trusting the United States would be tantamount to accepting deception.
According to the Iranian parliament spokesman, only the logic of strength works in relations with the United States. He added that withdrawing from the NPT and reconsidering Iran’s nuclear doctrine are entirely possible steps that could be implemented easily.
It should be noted that a group of Iranian lawmakers reportedly submitted a plan yesterday calling for Iran’s withdrawal from the NPT. The proposal is expected to be considered under an expedited procedure.
