“I have been to Azerbaijan before. After 16 years, I am witnessing the development that has taken place in the country,” Lord Brady, a member of the UK House of Lords, said at the 4th International Conference within the Baku Dialogue on Missing Persons, APA reports.

He recalled that he had been in Karabakh during the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict and noted that he had met with refugees and internally displaced persons at the time:

“At that time, I met people who had been displaced from their homes as a result of the war and listened to their stories. What great progress it is that peace has been achieved today. However, as long as missing persons remain unidentified and their stories remain uncovered, it is impossible to bring full closure to this issue for individuals, families and communities living in terrible uncertainty. It is a great honor for me to be here with you to support this vital international humanitarian work being carried out by Azerbaijan.”
