UK Counter Terrorism Policing has arrested a 22-year-old man in London’s Westminster area on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack, APA reports.
He is the seventh person to be arrested in connection with a security incident near RAF Fairford, a strategic air base used by the United States Air Force.
The investigation was launched after petrol and other flammable substances were discovered in vans near the base.
Six people previously arrested in connection with the case were released on bail. Officials have said there are serious suspicions that Iran may have been behind the alleged attack plot.
Tehran has denied the allegations.
Security measures at RAF Fairford have been raised to the highest level following the incident.
