“Our task is to clarify the fate of every person,” Chief of Azerbaijan’s State Security Service, Colonel General Ali Naghiyev, said at the Fourth International Conference held in Azerbaijan within the framework of the Baku Dialogue on Missing Persons, APA reports.
The State Security Service chief said the Victory achieved in the Patriotic War and the local anti-terror measures carried out in 2023 created new opportunities for search operations: “In total, biological samples have been collected from 11,576 donors and systematized. As of October 1, the remains of 913 missing persons have been discovered. Examinations carried out on the human remains show that they were subjected to torture. These acts must be given a legal assessment,” he said.
