Yerevan –APA. “Declaration signed by the presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia in Moscow is important in several contexts”, said Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian, APA reports. He said the document contained several important principles. “For the first time over the past 14 years, Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents signed the document contained important principles about the settlement of the conflict. The necessity of peaceful and negotiated solution to the conflict was underlined in the document at least for four times. It was also noted that the problem should be solved within the norms and principles of the international law. So far Azerbaijan insisted on one principle only – the principle of territorial integrity, but the document covered norms and principles of the international law”. Edward Nalbandian said the necessity of negotiations through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group was noted in the document for three times and it was also noted that holding negotiations within the other format is meaningless. “After the sides reach agreement on concrete principles, it will possible to talk about the preparation of any document. This document can be about the peace or settlement, but it’s signing will take much time. It is quite long process”.
