Chairman of Azerbaijani Parliament meets Speaker of Hungarian Parliament

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev–APA. Ogtay Asadov, Chairman of Azerbaijani Parliament has received the delegation led by Speaker of Hungarian Parliament Katalin Szili, the Parliament’s Press Service told APA.
Asadov expressed his regret that the current economic cooperation did not meet the existing potential.
“There are broad potentials for cooperation on food and pharmacology, tourism and transportâ€, he said.
The Speaker spoke about regional conflicts and stressed that Nagorno Karabakh problem impeded the development of the whole region, not only Azerbaijan.
“International actors and community should be systematic in such sensitive issues and demonstrate principal position. Recent developments in South Caucasus proved that the conflicts caused big danger to Europe as well. We support solution to such conflicts within the territorial integrity of the countries and international legal norms and hope for support of Hungary in this issueâ€, he said.
Asadov stressed that parliaments played a great role in the development of relations between countries and added that working Group on Work with Hungary functioned in the Parliament.
The Speaker of Hungarian Parliament stressed that establishment of relations between proper commissions of parliaments positively influenced on deepening of relations in economic, humanitarian and cultural spheres. The guest added that she attached importance to visits of Parliament’s delegations in terms of exchange of information and experience.
