U.S. senator thanks President Ilham Aliyev for leadership on peace agenda

U.S. Senator Steve Daines, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation, said during his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev that relations between the two countries have developed successfully in recent times, APA reports.

The guest emphasized that the Azerbaijani President's visit to Washington in August last year was a landmark event.

The senator also noted Azerbaijan's important geopolitical role under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

Steve Daines expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the leadership he has demonstrated regarding the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the peace agenda.
