Ali Hasanov: â€˜As chairman of the UN Security Council, Azerbaijan must justify confidence of the worldâ€™

Thereafter, in accordance with the graphic, in September, Azerbaijan will chair this organization one more monthâ€™, Chief of public policy department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov, APA reports.

To him, membership at UN Security Council and to chair it is very prideful thing for Azerbaijan: â€˜We take it as confidence of the world toward Azerbaijan. We think that first of all Azerbaijan must justify this confidence, take part in the solution of global issues in the world, approach the world events objectivelyâ€™.

Hasanov noted that one of the violated norms of the international law was Nagorno Karabakh problem: â€˜For 20 years Azerbaijan is continuing efforts in this direction. Membership at the UN Security Council and chairmanship it gives extra chance to raise the issue on unkept UN resolutions related to Armenian aggression and adopt mechanisms in order to prevent such cases in future in the worldâ€™.
