The diplomat underlined that after the embassies were opened in Azerbaijan and the Netherlands the bilateral relations deepened.
â€œThis significant day coincides with the 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries,â€ he said.

Ambassador said Azerbaijan and the Netherlands are closely cooperating both in terms of regional issues and within the European Union.
â€œWe also discuss Nagorno Karabakh conflict. In the past two years I have visited a number of Azerbaijani regions and witnessed the damage that the conflict caused to the Azerbaijanis. We support the activity of OSCE Minsk Group and believe that the conflict will be solved only in a peaceful way,â€ he said.

Ambassador highly appreciated the prospects of Azerbaijan-Netherlands relations logistics, agriculture, transport and alternative energy.

Arjen Uijterlinde said due to the Eurovision song contest 2012 that will be held in Baku the people of the Netherlands get to know Azerbaijan from positive side.
â€œFrankly speaking, I do not want my country to win the contest this year, because we can not organize this contest as perfectly as Azerbaijan does,â€ he said.
