APA’s Georgian bureau reports that deputy Jondo Bogaturia made a speech on the anniversary of so-called “Armenian genocide†at the parliament’s meeting today and offered to hold discussions on recognition of this “genocideâ€. The clashes started when Azerbaijani deputy Azer Suleymanov protested it.
Georgian deputy Kakho Bogokhidze interfered in the incident and laid hand on Jondo Bogaturia. He called his actions as “classic sabotageâ€. Azer Suleymanov told Bogaturia “Armenians committed genocide in Azerbaijan and it was perpetrated by Armenians like you.â€
The other Azerbaijani deputy Ramin Bayramov presented the document on Khojaly genocide and offered to read them.
Speaker of the Parliament David Bakradze calmed the deputies.
Jondo Bogaturia is chairman of the “Georgian Group†Party.
