The embassy’s press service said that the ambassador also presented memorable photos from the meeting of Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Bush in 2000. Bush expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for his attention, underlined the strategic significance of Azerbaijan-US relations and shared his memories from the meeting with Heydar Aliyev.
George Bush is the 41st president of the US. He led the White House in 1989-1993. Azerbaijan-US diplomatic relations were established and the US decided to open embassy in Baku during George Bush’s presidency.
