PACE hearing on Committee of Ministers report

Strasbourg. Fuad Gulubeyli – APA. UK Minister for Europe David Lidington has today made a report at the plenary sitting within the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on behalf of UK chairmanship at the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. Calling the developments in Syria as serious violation of human rights, Lidington said Bashar Assad had no further influence as the president of the country and person accused of killing of thousands of people couldn’t remain unpunished. He said the situation in Syria affected Turkey as well and they would support Turkey’s stance on this and its role in the world.
