The members of the International and Interparliamentary Relations Committee of the Azerbaijani parliament met with members of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain, APA reports. Member of the committee Asim Mollazadeh spoke about the history of Azerbaijan’s ancient statehood. The parliamentarian said after the restoration of independence integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures is the top priority of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy.

MP Ganira Pashayeva expressed her concern over that fact that the Armenian terrorism targets at children.
“Two children fell victim to the Armenian terrorism this year. Armenian sniper killed a child playing in the yard in Aghdam in March this year. 13-year-old girl fell victim to the Armenian terrorist attack in the region, where I was elected from. I consider that the world community must not close eyes to it. Everyone must take a tougher stance on such cases,” he said.

The parliamentarian told Spanish parliamentarians that Armenians destroyed Azerbaijani historical-cultural, religious monuments and cemeteries in the occupied Azerbaijani territories. The parliamentarian underlined that people can not visit the cemeteries in Aghdam village of Tovuz. She expressed her hope that the guests will approach the issue more sensitively and Spain will increase efforts for the protection of justice.

Head of the delegation, chairman of the foreign affairs committee Josep Antoni Duran said his country is interested in the development of the relations with the states.
“We consider that terrorist attack can not be justified. We condemn all kinds of terrorism,” he said.

He said Azerbaijan plays an important role in Europe’s energy security and Spain is interested in cooperation with Baku in this area.
