Azerbaijani FM receives PACE delegation

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that Mammadyarov informed the delegation about rapid development process and the countryâ€™s increasing regional role.

Touching on the settlement process of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the minister informed the guests that the established situation was inadmissible, the existence of resolutions and documents of UN, European Parliament and several international organizations demanding the necessity of withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the occupied Azerbaijani lands.

PACE delegationâ€™s members underlined that Azerbaijan which has an important geostrategic positions, was very important for Europe from point of view of energy cooperation. The delegation supported the fair settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

At the meeting the sides also exchanged view on several mutual interested issues.
