Visit of European Parliamentâ€™s delegation to Azerbaijan finished

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA. The visit of delegation consisting of members of the European Parliament, who arrived in Azerbaijan for a visit on the invitation of Head of Azerbaijani delegation in EURONEST Parliament Assembly Elkhan Suleymanov, has finished. APA reports that the delegation was represented by Franco Gaston (France), Ferreira JosÃ© Manuel Fernandes (Portugal) and Alain Destexhe (Belgium).

Within the visit paid for acquaintance with Azerbaijan and holding of the official meetings, the guests met with Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov, Foreign Minster Elmar Mammadyarov, Chairman of the State Committee on Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov, SOCARâ€™s Vice-President Elshad Nasirov and Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov. They also visited the settlement for IDPs situated in Aghdam.

Suleymanov considers such meetings significant from the pint of view of establishment of right and objective ideas about Azerbaijan in the international organizations.

The working group on Belgium-Azerbaijan interparliamentary relations also visited Azerbaijan on July 4-8 on Suleymanovâ€™s invitation.
