Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry: Killing of a child with an explosive device by Armenia is nothing but a terrorist act

On July 14, 2011, Shahmaliyeva Aygun Zireddin, 13, was killed, her mother Shahmaliyeva Elnara Mammadtagi, 32, injured as the improvised explosive device blasted in Alibeyli village of Azerbaijanâ€™s Tovuz region.

According to Polukhov, the fact that the explosive device was found in the Tovuz river, which is running from the territory of Armenia through Alibeyli village, shows that this device was prepared by Armenia deliberately and with special purpose.
â€œThe toy with built-in explosive device shows that the target was children and demonstrates the real intention of the Armenian side,â€ he said.

Diplomat says Azerbaijan condemns this atrocity of Armenia and underlines that such actions undermine the establishment of mutual confidence between the sides.
â€œKilling of a child with an explosive device is nothing but a terrorist act. By contradicting all requirements of the international legislation, demonstrating atrocity against innocent children, the Armenian side once more came out in its true colours, the persons, who ordered to commit Khojaly genocide, continue giving instructions to kill innocent people,â€ he said.

â€œAzerbaijan calls on the international community to condemn the continuation of the actions of Armenia, which killed and left handicapped thousands of innocent Azerbaijanis. Due to such actions the Armenian side can only be called killer of children,â€ Polukhov said.
