Novruz Mammadov: â€œThe changing of status-quo in the region must start with the liberation of the regions around Nagorno Karabakh from the occupationâ€

Not only we, but the international community, including OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries, their presidents attach great importance to the meetingâ€, Head of the Foreign Relations Department at the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Novruz Mammadov told journalists, APA reports. He reminded about the recent statement issued by the presidents of the three co-chair countries: â€œThe quick settlement of the conflict is demanded there. Our desire is the realization of main demand of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and international community â€“ the changing of status-quo in the region. The changing of status-quo may start with the first phase of the settlement of the conflict i.e. liberation of the Azerbaijani territories, the regions around Nagorno Karabakh from the occupation. I think that Armenian side will seriously approach to this statement and will not cause the protraction of the negotiation process with certain pretextsâ€.
