Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia holds solemn event on the occasion of Republic Day - <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Moscow. Farid Akberov â€“ APA. A solemn event was in Moscow, on the occasion of 28 May â€“ Republic Day. According to APAâ€™s Moscow correspondent, the event was held by Azerbaijani Embassy to Russian Federation, in Europe palace.

Accredited ambassadors of near 40 countries in Moscow, first deputy minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrei Denisov, high-ranking officials of Russian Presidential Administration, deputies of State Duma, university rectors and representatives of the Russian community attended the event.

Azerbaijan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Polad Bulbuloglu greeted the guests and express his gratitude them for coming. Speaking about the establishment history of Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan ambassador noted that, Azerbaijan was the first democratic republic in the Islamic East. THE diplomat informed about the Azerbaijanâ€™s independence history, its development as sovereign country, position in the region, increasing international firm standing.

Polad Bulbuloglu has also expressed his gratitude Russian population for giving highest point to Azerbaijan in Eurovision-2011 song contest.

Thereafter, the first deputy minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrei Denisov congratulated Azerbaijani population on Republic Day. Deputy Minister spoke about the friendship relations of Azerbaijan and Russia.
