Pakistan appoints new ambassador to Azerbaijan

APA reports quoting â€œAssociated Press of Pakistanâ€ that The President felicitated the newly appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan and asked him to focus on further cementing bilateral relations between the two countries particularly economic, trade and investment ties with Azerbaijan. The President also advised him to encourage the investors and business community in Azerbaijan to avail the liberal incentives package and investment friendly policies of the Pakistani government.
He said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan already have close bilateral cooperation and expressed the hope that it would touch new heights with the posting of the new envoy.

Kakar thanked the President for the trust and confidence reposed in him and assured that he would earnestly work to augment Pakistanâ€™s bilateral relations with Azerbaijan with focus on trade and commerce.

Kakar will replace Abdul Hamid, who had worked in this post since July 2008.
