Eastern Partnership countries to attend joint meeting of EU, Council of Europe in Brussels tomorrow

It will be first meeting between the two European organizations dedicated to the Eastern Partnership initiative, APA European bureau reports.

The two organizations reached an agreement on allocation of € 4 million for the Eastern Partnership program last December. The document was signed by Secretary-General of the Council of Europe Tjornborn Jagland and EU Commissioner for enlargement and neighborhood policy Stefan Fule.

These resources were allocated by the European Commission for 30-month period to implement series of projects for the development of election norms, court systems, anti-corruption measures, good administration and cyber crime control in the participating countries.

Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Farah Acalova will represent Azerbaijan at the meeting. The organizations are planning to hold two more meetings within 30 months.
