Azerbaijani Foreign Minister received US Congressâ€™s delegation

At the meeting the US Congressmen expressed their satisfaction on US-Azerbaijan cooperation, underlined Azerbaijanâ€™s important role as an ally. Besides, they highly assessed Azerbaijanâ€™s contribution and support to the fight against international terrorism, our countryâ€™s increasing role in global energy security, its participation in the security of regional and global stability.

The minister underlined the importance of dissemination of full and exact information about Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict. He noted the importance of settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabkah conflict basing on the territorial integrity, withdraw of occupation forces from the Azerbaijani lands for ensuring of peace, stability in the region, the restoration of Azerbaijanâ€™s territorial integrity and return of IDPs to their homes.

During the meeting Mammadyarov informed the guests about current processes in the region and noted Azerbaijanâ€™s role in the development of the South Caucasus region and in strengthening of the regional cooperation.
